Up-to-date, just in time not to be…

Imagine my surprise the other morning, when I turned on my Xbox Series X to knock out a little bit of gaming, only to see a game being updated. That game being “Brotato”, of all things!

You see, not that long ago “Brotato” was updated to include the “New Dawn” content, which put the Console version of the game only one update behind the PC version of the game. Consoles and the Mobile version of “Brotato” had been riding two updates behind PC for quite some time, but suddenly at least Console players were getting closer to the version PC players were enjoying.

But now, at least for the moment anyway, PC and Console players are able to enjoy the same content (sort of) in “Brotato”! PC players on Steam have access to a whole slew of mods to enhance the game, where at least Xbox players do not, but that’s neither here nor there. Let’s just celebrate the fact that consoles have finally caught up to PC with this game and all “Brotato” players are now equal…

… Wait. What’s that? PC is about to get yet another free update (All Pain, No Gain), which is currently in Beta, as well as an upcoming DLC later this year?

Well, that sounds about right.

Look, I’m glad that console players have gotten this update… even though I already bought the game on Steam just so I could play the current version of the game. I’m also glad that the developers are putting in more work to get the newest content out to console players faster than they used to be. It’s a welcome change, to be sure!

At least we won’t be sitting two updates behind, I guess.
