Let’s make this clear right up front: I’m no fan of “crunchy” tabletop roleplaying games. I have a ton of them, mostly older games in my collection, but they aren’t my favorites. In the last year or so, I have discovered “Powered by the Apocalypse”-style games, which really got me focused on “rules-lite” TTRPG systems….
This might get a bit contentious… As many of you may know, I’ve been playing and running (not to mention designing) tabletop roleplaying games for well over four decades now. I’m not saying I’m an expert by any means, especially when it comes to game design, but I’d like to say I know a thing…
