So as I discussed a few posts back, I’m switching things up on my YouTube channel starting in January 2028 (since I have produced all of the videos necessary for release five days a week through 2027). I will now be producing multiple series for the channel, each releasing seven days a week. This will help slow down my rate of content production (I’m a machine), and hopefully keep me entertained enough to stave off any thoughts of creating something… different… at least for a while.
Anyway, only one of the series running in December 2027 will be continuing on, and that’s my “Starfield” series. Switching it from a weekly show to daily releases feels more natural, and hopefully will build interest carrying over from one day to the next. That said, there have been… challenges…
Mainly, I’ve had some mod conflicts that have rendered the game almost unplayable at times. Again, this is not a problem with the game itself, which works fine. I just had way too many mods, some of which are highly technical, and in the end just didn’t want to play nice with each other. It happens.
So the only way to fix this is to jump into the Unity and save my game, exit out, then remove all of the mods that might be causing the issue. In this case, I dumped over half of my mod list, which was extensive, leaving only the mods I felt that I really, really needed for my game.
The ones I just couldn’t live without, so to speak.
Anyway, with that resolved, I set about exploring a new universe. My intent is to do one faction storyline in addition to the minimal interaction I have to have with the Constellation storyline (gather a few Artifacts, do the Buried Temple, etc), then fill the rest of my time in every given universe doing side quests and just having fun. Great, right?
Well, you’d think that, but I’m thinking that maybe I should have chosen a different game for this particular series slot.
I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but after three years and change, I’m getting tired of “Starfield”.
Now that doesn’t mean I’m stopping this particular show, not by a long shot! It’s just that I may need to take a bit of a break, which is fine, since I am also working on three other daily series, all launching on January 1st, 2028. Yes, I’m working on four total daily series, starting in 2028.
I can crank out YT videos, what can I say?
I’d prefer not to discuss what games will be featured in these other three shows, but they will create a lot of diverse content for the channel, and leave it at that. The point is, I will be able to crank out daily shows for these series’, while taking a break from “Starfield”, then return back to SF and knock it out again.
At my current rate of video production, I should only be six to nine months ahead of the game, when these new series start. At least, that’s what my estimates are at. I might catch up and start roughly keeping pace with video releases by 2029, assuming I haven’t had another heart attack by then. But I think I’ll be able to take a nice break from “Starfield” in there, and come back to it fresh in a few months.
Or not. I may just keep on playing, because after three years with almost no breaks from the game of any consequence, I can power through ‘needing a break’. I’ve done it before.
Burnout is a myth.
