Interested in joining a TTRPG podcast?

I’ve previously discussed this idea over on my sister website, the forum “Tabletop Tribe“, but felt the idea might get more reach from my main page, so…

So, I’m thinking about starting up a new podcast, focused on tabletop roleplaying games. It would be a community-driven roundtable podcast, where I would host (introducing the topic, chiming in where needed), and the rest of the cast would drive the discussion. This is because I’ve pretty much blown my vocal chords from years of content creation, and can’t do most of the talking on a podcast, like I used to.

We would be talking about TTRPG news, reviewing games, talking about various aspects of the hobby, etc. Basically one topic per show, trying to keep them short and sweet (30-60 minutes in length).

I’m planning to call this show “Tabletop Tribe”, after the TTRPG forum I created a few months back, as that is where the show would be hosted from. The idea is that we’d post a show, and listeners could discuss it and other relevant TTRPG topics on the forums.

So, yeah, it’s a driver to bring folks to the forums. But considering what I’ve heard from the TTRPG podcasts around, we could really use a show like I’m planning. Now I’m not saying that all of the current TTRPG podcasts out right now are bad, but when one show recently got an ENNIE nomination, when they can’t even balance their sound levels from week to week…

Yeah, we could some better TTRPG podcasting content. Especially one that isn’t another Actual-Play.

So, if you have an interest in joining a community-minded TTRPG podcast, let me know here in the comments, or join the forum at “Tabletop Tribe” and post about it there.
